You cannot complete your preparation for IAS Prelims without going through the previous year papers and analysing your preparation level with regard to individual sections/topics and then improve upon your weak areas.
Doing this analysis for multiple year papers will enhance your understanding of the requirements of this exam in terms of what UPSC expects from you.
Especially for traditional topics which you can cover from standard books – Indian Polity, Indian Geography, Indian Economy and Indian History – you need to be able to solve each of previous questions on the topic.
